Upgrading overlocker

ChessIsASport · 12/10/2019 14:23

I’m hoping to buy a new overlocker to replace the very old, secondhand one I have been using.

I don’t know whether to buy a combination overlocker/coverstitch machine or use the extra money to pay for a machine with air threading.

Please could anyone who has experience of overlockers let me know your experiences? Thank you in advance.

Ive not had a combi, but my mum had one and hated it (this was years ago though). I can whole heartedly recommend an over locker with air threading though. No issues with threading ever, apart from the fact that my air lever just came off and it's off being fixed right now. It is at least 15 years old, if not older, so don't let that put you off.

Thank you @mimiasovitch I think that I will go for the air threading rather than the combi.

Excellent! I've been without it for a week and I hate it. Suddenly everything needs finishing properly this week.
