As to how to glue them or what glue to use to make them stick. And stay stuck.

Thank you!

PVA is normally pretty effective - and cheap!

MerlinsBeard · 10/08/2007 22:05

if you are sticking them in clusters glue dots might work. my first thought was to stitch them tho.

hunkermunker · 10/08/2007 22:06

WMMC, for individual weeny ones in a dainty fashion? Wouldn't it show too much?

whomovedmychocolate · 10/08/2007 22:07

It dries clear - I apply it with an art brush though.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/08/2007 22:10

not something i have tried to do. PVA is pretty good but it may be visable??

MerlinsBeard · 10/08/2007 22:37

i thought of PVA too actually but thought it might be a bit shiny when it dried

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/08/2007 22:42

Yes, VVV, you said sew them.

But fgs, you'd bleed on the invitations if we let you near them with a needle

Whizzz, can you use that stuff on vellum?

Desiderata · 10/08/2007 22:48

HIJACK!

I didn't get your CAT. I guess they thought it was inappropriate

Whizzz · 10/08/2007 22:50

its like see through nylon stuff

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/08/2007 22:50

hunker...

DP is not impressed with me. I'm a right little bleeder it seems!

Desi - will have stern words with MNHQ.......

in meantime email me on cheesy_pooff at hotmail dot com

hunker.....erm suppose so - its a bit like fishing line!

Gingermonkey · 11/08/2007 00:04

I second whizzz.

VVV - use a blunt needle if you are inclined to accidents (eventually your skin hardens up and you don't bleed much anymore tho....take it from someone with experience!!!)

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/08/2007 00:08

ah. Blunt = more dangerous to me

Blunt, is less sharp, so more likely to slip/jolt through....

This is why DP has decided that, on balance, the kitchen knifes should be sharp, not blunt. No chance of slips etc

OP posts:
Whizzz · 11/08/2007 08:42

a sharp needle will give a better, less visible hole I think. I can send you some thread to try if you like VVV

Or you could use a nice coloured thread & not try & hide it - use it as part of the design maybe.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/08/2007 00:41

Thank you whizz! That'd be great. You are truly lovely, you know that?
