Corner to corner?

I've been looking at corner to corner and the patterns look really different, crochet without the granny.

But I can't get my head around actually doing it, my book shows the first 3 blocks and then basically says off you goHmm

Can anyone link to some good instructions please?

Also does it get less twiddly? I use crochet to relax, so I don't want to start using a technique that requires too much faff.

I’m sure there are YouTube videos of this stitch! I’m making a blanket at the moment and it’s a nice easy stitch once you get the hang of it.

This link is good, I learned from the photos and diagrams (don't get on with learning from videos). I find the finished product a bit thick and dense though, I prefer the texture of a granny blanket, I do granny C2C instead now, no pattern, just made a granny cluster and increased at each end then decreased at each end.
