I'm getting my crafting/creating mojo back and am wanting to make some jewellery from a pile of very lovely vintage buttons I have been given. I used to make earrings many years ago and ordered up jump rings and earring bits and bobs but it is SO long ago I'm not sure whether I am getting the best prices in my online searches.

I am definitely looking for good quality silver plated:
jump rings
head pins
pendant bails
charm bracelet findings

I can see that the Bead Shop seems to have most things online but are they the most competitively priced? I know that ebay also has lots to choose from and a lot of the stuff comes from Hong Kong and China. I'm a little overwhelmed at the options to be honest and want to make sure that I don't end up buying a load of tat!

I'm also looking for some bead and glass glue. I am going to be gluing some buttons and buckle pieces together and I hear that something like E6000 doesn't hold up as well as the specific bead and glass glue.

Anyone else on here make earrings and bracelets? Be great to share some tips and WIP. I used to frequent this board many moons ago for dressmaking tips and it was always a mine of information! I am looking forward to making some jewellery and will be sure to share photos of some of my creations!

Cookson Gold have loads of stuff for making jewellery so they might be worth a look. I don't know how their prices compare to other places though.

Burhouse beads are another good one.

Thanks for those tips on Cookson Gold and Burhouse Beads. Need to make sure I start small and don't go crazy buying stuff that I end up not needing!
