Quality light weight fleece fabric for dressmaking

Hi, does anyone know if/where I can purchase good quality light weight fleece fabric? The type you see in outdoor clothing shops nowadays?
I don't want the chunky stuff that looks a bit cheap Grin
Hoping to make myself a few fitted zip up hoodie tops, I'm quite petite so shop ones are always too long on me.
ThanksSmile

Even the Sherpa type fabric that toys are made with would be okay, if it's light weight/not bulky

I saw some on the Minerva Crafts website the other day. I can't vouch for its quality or lightness but will send samples for a small fee.

Fabric Godmother is an amazing place for dressmaking fabrics too but haven't noticed any fleece on her site.

To clarify: Minerva Crafts will send samples. (It read as though I might send samples for some reason)

Thanks WildCherry I thought you were really going out of your way there, sending me samples Grin I will have a look at the Minerva & Fabric Godmother site, thanks

You could look at scuba fabric as an alternative to fleece too. Somewhere in between jersey and neoprene. Sort of heavyish stretch with a smooth finish rather than the fluff off fleece.

There are some beautiful scuba prints around.

Thanks, that's an idea! I have used scuba a few years ago to make a maxi skirt & it was amazing, easy to sew too.
