... where to get hooks like that? I don't know what they're called and all searches so far lead me to massive hanging hooks.

Also, does anyone know what paints I could buy to achieve that sort of soft pink and gold lacquer look?

Thank you all

They look like they are ceramic glazed that have been fired in a kiln. It's almost impossible to get the same effect using normal paints, but you could try using acrylic paint and then varnishing with clear yacht varnish.

The looks just look like bent wire to me!

Had another thought! To get the pastel soft blushy look you could use powdered art pastels and seal with the yacht varnish. Good luck!

Would the snipped off top of paper clips work?

Ooh paper clips, that might work. Wouldn't even need to snap them off as they can just be buried in the paste. I am thinking of using fimo.

Are those Danielle Pedersen's? I love her work.
Try heavy gauge floristry wire bent with jewellery pliers. You might have to superglue in once dry as the clay will shrink and the wire not be so secure. The gold she uses is a 22carat ceramic safe paint and I believe she uses porcelain clay which gives that clear white finish under the glaze.

You know the wire clips they use to fix cable in place, they look like those. Pinch a few from your internet cable Smile
