using a 'jewellery' tumbler for seaglass set in silver?

If i normally use a tumbler to clean my silver after making, can i put seaglass in a silver setting (that i have made) in it?

I’m not sure, I have an idea that if you tumble seaglass in a tumbler you usually use for metals, you can get tiny fragments of glass, that can then mark the metal

I’m thinking of getting a little tumbler just for seaglass
