Fleece blanket

I’d like to make Ds1 a blanket. I’ve got a piece of fleece but I don’t quite know how to back it.

I don’t really want to just use bias binding on the edges (I want to “hide” the back as it is quite a bit paler than the right side) but I’ve never worked with fleece before and I’m just not sure how to do it.

Any advice?

Could you back it with the same fleece or would that be too thick?

Well I’d half wondered about backing it with quilted wadding but actually a double layer of fleece sounds very snuggly! Thank you
