Crochet pets to sell at the school fair....

I would like to crochet a large amount of creatures to sell at my DD's school fair, but I work full time and have other projects going, so I am looking for something that looks good enough to sell but doesn't involve a massive amount of sewing and putting together. Cats and hedgehogs go down really well but I really cannot be creating separate little ears and tails and then having to assemble it all together and creating their little faces. It needs to be faster and simpler project than that but just as gorgeous and effective, and good enough to sell. Would love some ideas please. Oh and I can also knit, but my sewing skills are very very basic. TIA!!

Hi OP, no suggestions for quick pets but just a word of warning - any toys sold (yes, even at a school fair) have to be tested and CE marked. I looked at doing similar for charity but was put of by the rigmarole, or alternatively risk of a fine.

I have this pinned on pinterest, I don't see why it wouldn't work with a crocheted square. Sounds like a great idea!

Oh, that's a shame about the health and safety then.

Thank you both.AmethystRaven, many years ago I made 100 of the cat version of that pattern. It is far more complicated than it seems to get the shape right. They were hugely popular though.

I wonder if I should make brooches instead so they're not toys, i.e. not necessarily aimed at children?
