Where should I start if I want to make a tudor style velvet cap? Or, ideally, commission someone else to make it!

DS has a fab tudor costume and is dying for a hat to go with it. Having searched in vain on ebay etc I may have to consider making my own. Or ideally ask someone else if they could make it up. Would etsy be good for that sort of thing?

Velvet beret, gold braiding stitched/glued around brow band, with one or two large feathers stuck in at one side?

You absolute star! Searching 'velvet beret' on ebay brings me exactly what I wanted. I was searching 'tudor/medieval hat'..........
