Does anyone here do crochet arigunami animals?

I have attempted several now, usually getting patterns from Etsy, but none of them have looked how they should!

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but does anyone do them and can give any advice/ recommend any good patterns?

I don't, the last creative thing I made was a knitted cactus about 30 years ago! But one tip I can give is to check the country of origin of the pattern you use, as what the UK calls a treble crochet, the US calls a double crochet, and so on. So if a pattern isn't coming out correct, it might be the wrong stitch size ...

I've made lots of animals, they're taking over.

These are littlehappycrochet and lilleliis patterns, some free, some paid for.

Whenever I try the work feels very stiff. Tension too tight?

pancakesfortea · 05/11/2017 22:43

Meant to say, yours are fab tizwozliz!

Can you share a photo? Might help to diagnose.

I usually use a smaller hook size than recommended, most of the above are done with a 2mm hook (for a yarn that recommends 3mm)
