I'm just getting to grips with crochet and wonder if you can help me understand where I should place hook for an instruction as follows:
'slip stitch into the 3rd chain of beginning chain-3 to close the round'.
Hopefully I have attached 2 photos - is it the space between the 3chain and first treble or the 2 v loops at top of stitch? It's v hard to describe but ho o e pictures mAke it clearer .

It's the v. Put your hook under the two lines of the v, yarn over and pull through

Looking good btw, especially for a beginner!

I would slip stitch where your first picture shows. The one on the left.

Not the space between the chain and treble.

Hello - welcome to crochet!
It's the two loops - have made quick swatch to show you

It really is!

Woolly hugs is a good way to do something with the endless stacks of granny squares. They can even send you the wool sometimes

Pipsqueak11 · 18/09/2017 23:04

Yes Billy . I did send my first efforts anonymously to woolly hugs as I chose wool from lovely candy colour palette.
