Easter bonnet and Easter top hat help needed!

How do I make one of each - am totally useless at anything like this, so needs to be foolproof (haven't got any real hats I can use either as have used them all up on previous years!)

I would just wrap a cardboard band round their heads and let them stick stuff on 0- bunny ears, chicks, coloured-in eggs etc

just get some cardboard and cut into a band, right?

yes - buy little chicks and other such tat from pound shops - get the to decorate egg shapes etc they'll love it!
