Would like a walking foot for my Janome machine, should I buy Janome or be a cheapskate?

Nothing much to add really. The Janome foot is £55 and a compatible one would be 15-20. I'm trying to save money at the moment but don't want it to be a false economy and end up needing to replace it within a month or two.

Any advice or experience to share?

The timing has to be right, if you can try a compatible one on a Janome and it's ok then you could buy that but you'll be more certain that it'll work properly if you buy a Janome one.
