Pattern for a cloak!

Have a fancy dress party on Sunday and DH and DS are going as Batman and Robin. I need a very easy pattern to make them each a cloak. Anyone point me in the right direction please?

I found a cloak pattern here that you could maybe adapt?

I made a cloak for Halloween a couple of years ago with a cheap poly/cotton sheet.
Cut into rectangle, turn over top and thread shoelace/ribbon through and gather to make tie. I then cut shirt-collar shape from matching cardboard and glued it on under the fabric at top to get an effect like this robin cape
