I could make that for you - but would need you to provide materials as I live in the arse-end of nowhere

I wouldn't charge much!

SoupDragon · 18/01/2007 22:05

Unfortunately I don't have the time to do it for you my To Do list is so long I spend all my time on Mumsnet to avoid looking at it...

SoupDragon · 18/01/2007 22:06

If you can sew at all, it may be worth you stuffing it yourself to save on postge. You'd just need to handstitch the stuffing hole up.

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:09

ok miaou

just lemme know what you need for it

yey, thankies

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:10

Stuffing weighs absolutely nothing, I wouldn't worry about that. I think I might actually have stuffing here.

Where's she gone now?

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:11

and how much it would be of course

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:13

oops, x posts!

OK - choose the material you want, get a couple of buttons for the eyes, and felt if you want the felt bits adding (presumably the pattern tells you what bits you need). I have sewing thread so that's ok. Thinking about the stuffing, the stuff I have is quite old, so if you want to get some nice stuff (kapok is good, holds shape well etc), then post it up to me (I would guess all the bits would cost around £1 to send, not expensive!).

GIves me a chance to dust down my sewing machine - haven't had an excuse to use it for a month or two!!

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:13

and how much it would be of course

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:14

How much - um, you look at the finished product and decide how much it's worth

Seriously, I'm not bothered

stitch · 18/01/2007 22:15

miaou can you post a picture of your finished kitty?

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:15

so if i post you the stuff and you make her, then post her back,

can you email me to sort out payment

[email protected]

OP posts:
kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:16

oh, how much fabric would you need?

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:18

Possibly, stitch! Or I might insist kittylette does it

Will email you kittylette in a mo

I couldn't access the pattern to see how much was needed (not sure why) - but I would guess if you bought a metre that would be plenty (it's sometimes hard to buy less depending on where you go). Can you open the pattern? Does it say on there?

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:20

ive opened it yeah, i think you need adobe

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:23

Ah rats, I'm on a Linux system - no Adobe. Can you print it and send it with the material when you get it?

kittylette · 18/01/2007 22:24

i havent got a printer

OP posts:
Miaou · 18/01/2007 22:29

OK can see it now - don't worry - have no ink in my printer atm (or paper!) but will see if I can get it printed out.

They say 1/4 yard of material but it's sold in metre lengths in this country - so if you can get 1/2 metre then that would be fine

Depending on the colour you want I might have felt. Definitely got embroidery thread. But no buttons. HTH!

Have sent you an email too!

Whizzz · 18/01/2007 22:32

thats so cute !

dizzyday07 · 18/01/2007 22:58

I might make one myself!!

Kittylette, would you still like me to make one of these for you? I have made a trial one and it has come out really well - though my inferior stuffing lets it down a little! I did a blue gingham one with mid-blue stripes and navy blue felt eyes. I think buttons would look better though!

Let me know anyhow - did you get my email(s) btw?
