Question from a novice

I am making a loop scarf. How do a sew the last bit after I have turned the material the right way round (i.e. the bit to close the hole). So far i have tried machining that bit but it looks not nice, handstitching it shut but it looks a bit rubbish. Is there a way of invisibly stitching it shut? I think there must be a name for this so if someone could tell me, I will look it up!

It it an infinity scarf? sewn, turned right side out then the hole sewn up? If so I've done this and yep you get a little seam on the outside but it's not really noticeable unless you look hard.

If you want to try to invisibly hand close the gap look on line for tutorial for invisibly hand sewing up a stuffed toy ( I call it ladder stitch but that may not be correct)

If you make another one and are particularly fastidious, provisionally cast on, then when you get to the end graft the two sets of stitches together. Needs a few watches if YouTube and a quiet room for both!!

Thanks KatyN but it is a sewn scarf! I should have been more clear. I have ladder stitched it like Helen suggested. Looks good.
