Anyone any idea how to dye certain parts of a plush toy but not others?

A fb friend is after someone to turn a plush toy unicorn into something pink (can't remember what & cba to go look...)

Any idea how to turn white bits pink without affecting the bits that still need to be white? Long shot I know but if I can help her out with it I will

Paint the dye on with a brush?

What's the fur made from?

I wondered about painting dye onto it.

It looks like short pile furry stuff, I've not seen it up close to get a proper look or feel of it.
