I have the happy hooker

I have a crochet hook

I have yarn (I take it there's no special crochet yarn, you just use the same as for wool?)

I cannot quite see it as a hip and edgy craft as yet, unlike knitting of course, but I am going to do it.

i think we'll have to do a knitting pattern first, 2nd generation old lady pattern can be crochet, once we have our knitted version to advise us. why has no-one thought of this before???? foolproof

you can't just convert knitting patterns to crochet!
