Vintage/ Funky/ Retro Fabric - Looking for good suppliers please

I've been trying to source shops/ companies etc. that sell more unusual fabrics than the run of the mill stuff you get in some fabric shops - I don't want cutesy bunnies !
I bought some fantastic fabric from a little shop in Marlow with Nursery Rhyme characters on it. It looks very old fashioned and is very striking but I can't seem to find anything similar anywhere else.
I make cushions, laundry bags, wall hangings etc. for childrens/ teenagers rooms and need to find some other suppliers - websites or suppliers in the Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire area.
Anyone got any recommendations please ?

Have you tried looking on ebay? It has loads of new and vintage fabrics. I've tried looking online for furnishing fabric, but can't find anything more interesting than I can get in John Lewis. I've always thought there was an opening for a vintage fabric outlet - if only I had the time and money.

Hi Otto, yes I've bookmarked a couple of ebay shops but a lot of the fabric is offered in fat quarters which is no good to me and can be quite expensive.
I can't believe how difficult it is to source something different and you're right, what an opportunity for opening a vintage fabric outlet - time and money being the problem, I agree.

I use www.reprodepot.com

They are in the States though, unfortunately! I've only been stung by customs once, but it's always a risk.

Can certainly recommend them for service and choice of fabrics though.
