I'm working on a patchwork style project and have come across invisible thread? Has anyone used it and is it good?

Do you mean this:

Thread

I haven't used it but MiL swears by it.

Work of beelzebub and all his minions.....

I used it to attach sequins to a bra. It undoes itself, ties up in knots...

And I can never find it when I want to use it! ;)

I hate that stuff! Mine always tangles itself round everything else in my thread bag Hmm

I used to use it a lot, make sure that what you get is soft not stiff like fishing line. I'm pretty sure that mine is the YLI like the top two here.

I would never use it. It used to be used on lots of 70's 80's manufactered clothes and it was horrible as it was scratchy.

I've used it in a manufactring setting myself and it was horrible to work with..funny enough was talking about yesterday with OH (also worked in manufacturing) and we were both saying how horrible it was

Domestic modern stuff might be softer I dont know....

The reel I have is my mam's from when I was little in the 80's OldRaver, I used it for some beadwork for my a level fashion & it comes out every now and again for odd bits.

Maybe it's about time I looked at replacing it with some new stuff and see if there's a difference Grin
