And not plain blue...which I could then have stitched snowflakes to?

Therefore eliminating the need for me to spend tomorrow attempting to match up snowflakes (not that the kids will care, of course) before giving up and just stitching them 'close enough' to not look totally higgldey piggldey Confused

Close enough = good enough Grin

I share your pain. I have ripped rows and rows of knitting out because I've seen a mistake but with my rational head on I know that the person I'm giving it to wont see a thing.

Crafters perfection innit Grin

That's exactly it! The niggley "I know it's not quite right" thing Confused

I spent half of yesterday undoing and re-doing the skirt of one of the dresses because I knew it'd look neater done on my dad's machine.

When I showed it to dp, I got a Hmm ..."It's the exact same as when you did it yesterday" look...but it isn't the same at all!

Step away from "The Great British Sewing Bee " line of thought and whack it together. Grin

Grin I'm half planning the walkaway dress from the book...there are some lurvely patterns out there but I hate pattern matching at the best of times.

Matching snowflakes will last probably ten mins before I do get frustrated and just crack on with them.

Oh I do like that dress but think I am the wrong shape for it being very short waisted and generous of norkage.

Made small GDD a dress in this fabric last week and mourned the fact that it was impossible to patternmatch.

Ooh, I like that. Where's it from?

I think I'll have to alter the walkaway a fair bit to fit in the bust department (teeny boobs) & shorten a fair bit but I'm going to have a go. There's so much fabric in it that I can always turn it into something else if I end up cursing it.
