Pattern for laptop case

Does anyone know how I'd get a pattern to make a case exactly like this
www.paperchase.co.uk/chloe-owls-laptop-sleeve-13in.htm

I'm not a totally inexperienced sewer (I've made curtains and an armchair cover with no pattern) but I want this to be really perfect

Or does anyone know where I can buy a personalised laptop case!

I bet if you googled make laptop sleeve you would find loads. I know I've seen lots on my many trips through craft blogland!

Essentially it's just two rectangles and a zip. You'd want some kind of padding and lining too. I don't think it would be as hard as an armchair cover!

I couldn't get your link to work so here it is again

It looks like Zazzle do personalised laptop cases.

You could make one in a similar vein very easily without a pattern. I made a little sleeve for my iPad a couple of weeks ago, I cut 4 x pieces of fabric 1 1/2 inch bigger all round and quilted a layer of batting on the inside of two of the pieces. My iPad has a snugg case on it which increases the thickness.

Inserted the unquilted bag inside the other one, wrong sides facing, made a bit of bias binding out of some left over velvet and that was it!

The thing you have linked to looks like neoprene which can be tricky. You could make something very similar easily in a different fabric. The zips on that case look quite tight, a flap over would be easier.

You just need to make sure you allow enough room for the thickness/depth of the computer whatever that is.

My little case works fine, just a bit of extra protection in my bag.

I agree that it's the getting zips right so it fits nice and snuggly

I think an envelope stle with a flap and button, or even a long tie that wraps round, is probably a better bet if you aren't confident with zips.

There's a tablet clutch in the latest edition of Love Sewing Magazine which might be of use to you.
