My sewing machine has been sitting in my cupboard for many years, and i would love to pick up this hobby again. I guess i have been inspired by watching a few episodes of the sewing bee Smile

I have got some brown needlecord with pink and purple embroidered flowers, and first thought some kind of jacket or trousers, but it is perhaps a little busy? Any thoughts?

I have made Simplicity 1252 a few times in needle cord. I also have Simplicity 3833 which I am going to make when I get round to it. I have got some very loud Grin retro patterned needlecord. I am going to use a plain contrasting needlecord for the bodice and the loud stuff for the skirt.

I have only got a couple of patterns by the new makers - they do look nice - but I have got loads of traditional paper patterns that I have acquired over 30 years and the new makers sort of passed me by!

Thanks for your message! Smile My source for patterns is my mum, who also has been collecting them for many years. She is also the source of my love for pins and needles, and bought me my first machine many years ago. She has been hoping for a while that i would start using it again and left me two lovely fabrics to tempt me when she was visiting over the last half term holidays. Her plan is working Grin.
