Mini sewing machone

I have bought a mini sewing machine on a whim, with no real plan apart from that I quite fancy doing some basic crafty projects. Does anyone have experience of what these machines can realistically cope with? I don't want to be too ambitious.

You should be ok for basics like cushion covers, skirts, tops etc, just don't use thick material

simple projects best, is it the John Lewis mini?

ive got the john lewis mini. Its fine for basic things like cushion covers and bunting etc. It cant cope with thick material and you cant change the feet on mine

If you've bought the John Lewis mini its only suitable for light weight fabrics and is fine for basics as blackheartsgirl said. It is v basic and you can't change the sewing machine foot, so no zips.
