Look! The latex paint she uses is what we call emulsion, so a big tub of emulsion plus the calcium carbonate powder will be so much cheaper than Annie Sloan paint!

But it won't be AS.

And then you will be disowned by your NCT friends and won't be able to complain about hard it is to clean avocado off your distressed AS walls

Ahh that's fine by me, I don't have any NCT friends :o

Have you made and used it?

SoupDragon · 23/01/2015 07:51

I've just bought the powder and am going to give it a go on my grandmother's old beureau that's sitting in my garage.

I've always wondered are there any benefits to using chalk paint? I've spent years painting old furniture with normal emulsion. Should I be using chalk paint instead?

No I haven't tried it out yet, I can't afford to at the minute. My projects will have to wait a while!
