You know the felt tree ornaments like gingerbread men/trees that are slightly padded?

How do I make them so the padding doesn't stick out?

I've been browsing Pinterest and fancy having a go at some but not sure about this part Confused

Would using a thin wadding rather than stuffing do the trick?

It doesn't stick out once they're sewn, I sew them and turn them inside out and stuff them but you can just pinking shear them.

I cut the padding very slightly smaller than the felt and then did a decorative blanket stitch to hold it all together.

Would that work for what you're doing?

Oh wait I do use wadding like Owl says

I didn't think of doing them inside out, that'd work. Or cutting the padding smaller!

Thank-you, I seem to be having a bit of a thick morning Blush Grin

I don't think I'll get round to them this year but am going to have a play about at some maybe.
