I've just finished my first baby shawl, it's quite plain, though nice and snuggly.
I want to do something more lacy next, and like Arrowhead lace stitch.

I used seed stitch for a border all knitted in one with centre panel, and I want to do the same all in one idea next time.

But what stitch would make a nice border to go with Arrowhead lace stitch? Maybe something with a twisty vine sort of look?

Any ideas and help very welcome, as I'm quite new to knitting.

Just to add, have you heard of Ravelry?
It's a fabulous resource for knitters, free and paid for patterns, forums and groups with lots of expert advice, plus you can record all your stash and finished items.

Thank you Gullygirl I'll have a look at that on the Lionbrand site.

I did have a quick look at Ravelry when I first got into knitting a little while ago, but it all looked a bit baffeling then. I'll give it another try now I know a little bit more about it.

Thanks again!

You're welcome, Ravelry is a bit baffling to begin with, I watched the user guide to begin with and that has really helped to make it easier to use.
Warning though, I have spent soooo much more on knitting stuff since I joined!

Oh I'll do that too then.

I was actually hoping it would be a cheap hobby Grin
