Lace pattern help please! Tin Cat snowflake sweater pattern

I'm doing my first piece of lace knitting for a friend's first baby and want to do this pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/snowflake-123

It is the first time I have done lace but have managed the first couple of rows fine. The problem is after row 7 the pattern reads thus:

to work chart A: repeat rows 1-6. Use chart A for all sizes work edge sts, work RH 3-stitch repeat as many times as possible before the marked centreline section, work centreline section, repeat LH 3-stitch repeat as many times as possible before edge sts, work edge sts.

The chart is for the yoke of the sweater so increases all the time. However, what do you do if the 3-stitch repeat doesn't fit? Do you just do the beginning?

I've had a look on Ravelry but the photos don't show the edges very clearly.

I assume it is worked from the neckline down as you say that it increases as you work. I would work the additional stitches in stocking stitch until you have enough to do a pattern repeat - from your OP the lace pattern is worked over 3 stitches so the extra stocking stitch at each end shouldn't look odd.
