And if I gave your children similar?

If you will be putting a hot water bottle in it then I think it is quite cute - I would not give it for a small child due to safety issues.

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 25/10/2014 10:11

Can you actually get a water bottle in it - is there a flap at the back or something?

I'd like it, have bought my dcs fur covered hot water bottles for Xmas so hopefully they would like it too!

I really wouldn't like it. I don't like hot waterbottles and nor do my children. The only person I know who has one is my mother. I don't think they're very popular anymore?

TheDowagerDuchessOfDinglyDell · 25/10/2014 13:28

There is a flap at the back. Person I have in mind is a bottle lover.

I'd love it! Very pretty and useful!

Givemecaffeine21 · 25/10/2014 17:28

I'd be very touched if someone took the time and effort to make me something like that x

CMOTDibbler · 25/10/2014 17:30

I wouldn't, but it isn't my style at all. I do love a hotwater bottle, but in a furry cover

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/10/2014 17:33

Sorry but I wouldn't like that at all. I love hotwater bottles but I have got one in a lovely furry cover. This one reminds me of those knitted dolls on loo rolls - very old ladyish. Sorry.

DaisyFlowerChain · 25/10/2014 17:40

Not my cup of tea either, not keen on homemade gifts and hot water bottles worry me so we only use the microwave ones.

carlsonrichards · 25/10/2014 17:43

No. I would feel bad, too, that you went to so much effort.

zeeboo · 25/10/2014 17:45

I don't care for glam or expensive but I do only like handmade items from good materials. That to me looks like acrylic and the style is also very old fashioned. I think most people under 55 would have similar feelings about the style.
Something in a wool blend, in modern colours, in granny squares or ripples or more fashionable crochet stitches would be very well received.

MiniTheMinx · 25/10/2014 17:46

I think its lovely, and handmade is so much nicer. More thought and effort than some shop bought tat. I would be chuffed.

Purpleknickers · 25/10/2014 17:48

I think it's lovely, obviously if the recipient is a hot water bottle lover what is not to like, it's lovely colours and a very thoughtful gift

LoopyLoopyLoopy · 25/10/2014 17:50

I would love it, and so would both my children.

Floggingmolly · 25/10/2014 17:51

How can a hot water bottle cover look old fashioned?? Op, I think they're lovely, I'd be delighted at anything someone had taken the time and trouble to make themselves, rather than some over priced, mass produced tat even if it WAS furry

HowDidThatWorkOut · 25/10/2014 18:03

I think it's lovely and would be delighted to receive it. I might prefer it if it had a flatter design so it Was more comfortable.

AWimbaWay · 25/10/2014 18:08

I'd love it and I'd like it for my children too, we all like a hot water bottle in this house.

Hmmm. Mixed feelings. I shall ponder on who to present my homemade stuff to.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/10/2014 18:34

Also, people who like hot water bottles would generally tend to already have one, so wouldn't need another one.

bronya · 25/10/2014 18:40

I don't use hot water bottles, but if you're into homemade stuff what about jumpers for children, a nice hat, clothes for their favourite teddy/doll, that sort of thing?

LuckySaint · 25/10/2014 18:46

I love hot water bottles but I hate covers on them.
Dc would probably like them though.
