Can you point me in the direction of nice baby girl patterns?

I want to make a nice outfit for my friend who has just had a baby girl - something really pretty but practical as well as she lives in the country! Have been looking online for free patterns but not found anything particularly appealing. Any ideas where I can look?

Argh- would help if I include the word knitting in the title

There was a nice pattern in the latest Simply Knitting for a cute matinee jacket in cotton/cashmere 4 ply Miaou.
Sensible enough for you missus? Do you want me to get you a copy?

ooooh, Debbie Bliss, didn't think of that! There is a fab book in the library which I told my boss she was not allowed to lend out to anyone until after I move - I shall nab it back and do something from that I think
