Can you run craft sessions for children without childcare quals?

I quite fancy doing this as I used to send dd to dance and theatre camp - it was basically childcare but dressed up as fun/new skills.

Drop off at 8 am for breakfast crafts, stay all day, pick up at 6 after dinner crafts.

Stupid idea?

Not a stupid idea, off the top of my head you would need

To set up and register yourself as self employed
Complete a tax return each year
Have a DBS check (used to be called crb)
Have public liability insurance

Do not think you would need a child care qualification but someone more knowledgable might come along...!
