I'll be upholstering an Ottoman (when we get one) in some nice fabric when we do our bedroom and this is the wallpaper it has to go with.

Can someone help me please? I've been trawling the internet for ages and not found anything suitable yet...

I think you need to pick out one of the colours on the wallpaper, such as the duck egg blue and then decide what texture do you like.

Some velvet for a bit of luxury? Linen for a more rustic look?

I like the vanilla tone a lot.

Another option would be for stripes in the same colourway, in ticking perhaps. That would tune in with the fresh colours and give an interesting, but not clashing contrast.www.curtainsmadesimple.co.uk/12097/Ian-Mankin/Ian-Mankin-Fabric-Collection/Ticking-2-Pink]]

To be honest I don't really know what kind of texture or colour I'm after, I think I'll know when I see 'it'.

That is so pretty.

What about a plain duck egg or natural beige linen for a French shabby chic look?

Right it's all changed now! No longer need an ottoman. MIL was a cleaner for an elderly lady, the lady has now sadly died and her sons have instructed MIL to clear the house and make offers on anything she might like. We've just been to look and DP had a look in the loft, and there are two leather Harry Potter stylee trunks, one is battered and blue and the other is bright red and in fantastic condition. So now I'm looking up how to paint leather...

You are welcome.

Good luck with the trunk painting.

Leather can be fed with a mix of ethyl alcohol and castor oil (from memory). Almond oil would probably work as well. We used it on some club armchairs, but it was about 10 years too late, back in the 1970s.
