11 yr old "cool" personalised sewn presents ... possibly key rings? Bag pendants?

My nearly 11-year-old and I want to sew some presents this weekend for 5 girls that are leaving school in the year above her. (They are taught together in some classes so have become friends.)

Does anyone have any inspiration?

I thought something they could attach to their school bags next year (perhaps personalised?) might be good? I suggested liberty print dolphin key rings (have some lovely libert-esque cotton waiting upstairs to be used) but apparently, they wouldn't be "cool" enough which in 11-yr-old terms at the moment is (with my limited knowledge): moustaches and loom bands ????

I don't have a lot of time so each one can't be that too time-consuming to make? Just wondered if anyone could recommend any blogs that might give me some inspiration or set me off in the right direction?

Thank you!

I would make a little wallet each...with a keyring attached like this I don't think Libierty print is uncool...it's pretty and most girls like pretty.

To personalise I would add an initial to keep it simple.

Oooh I really really like that! Thank you so much MrsWinnibago that's exactly what I was looking for! [Off to study method - should be doable to make 5 over a w/e I would have thought (she says hopefully) ...]
