Simple rosette holder - any DIY instructions?

I want to make dd a rosette holder so she can display all her rosettes (and stop them cluttering up her desk).

I've seen a couple on eBay but they're quite expensive and looked relatively simple so I thought I'd have a go at making one myself

However I've googled and can't find any DIY instructions so am hoping some kind soul on here could point me in the right direction please

What about attaching some lengths of bedroom matching wide ribbon to a bamboo pole or similar and pin them from that? You could tie string to each end of the pole and hang from a book. Perhaps spray the pole to match the ribbon?

Thanks - that sounds like it would work (and sounds like it's easy enough for me to do as I am utterly crap rather challenged when it comes to craft stuff ...)
