Card Challenge???

Things have been really quiet here over the summer so how about a challenge??

THEME
Christmas in September

SIGN UP DEADLINE
Friday 8th September

RULES (GUIDELINES)

  • make ONE Christmas card
  • send everything you used to make it to your Challenge Chum (CC) including the card blank and the envelope. Send them by Septmeber 15th -before you send them to your CC take a photo of the bits and pieces (B&P) -when you receive your B&P,make a card with the things you have receieved. If you receieve more than 5 B&P (not including the card) then you can miss one out. If you receiev less than 5 B&P then you can add one more thing. Other than that you can only add glue, glitter,chalk and ink. -take a picture of your card and post it on the Yahoo group by 29th Septmeber.

It sounds complicated but ius really straight forward and i thought that the christmas theme would be good to get us all going.

I have added my original

I had to use a differnt peel-off to the one i sent to UCM as I made up 2 packs of B&P and sent one out to UCM before i made up my original....

i stuck the peel-off to the card, covered it with red ink then tried to remove the peel-off and it ripped the card . i didn't have another the same to use so i had to use a differnt one.

technique-- stuck peel-off to card, cover with red ink, remove peel-off without ripping card once dry cover with versamark ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. voila!

Sunny and Cali... I love how you have used the little candy sticks so differently!

Right here's mine made from KAAs bits & pieces. Sorry - not very original !!
However I have just realised that the pic of the B&P wasn't up - KAA could you add it?

I have added a piece of red card (as I had less than 5 items) - I have written an Xmas greeting on the reverse of the snowman tag

i have taken pics of all b&p, and completed my card, but need dh to help me sort this out & i'm working 2 eves this week, so won't have time until the weekend, sorry!
also can't remember where i put my original!
this has inspired me to do some major card making,as i have a huge stash, but never seem to have any cards to send, so i WILL make cards until at least half the stash has gone, particularly as i have a load of brithdays coming up, and, of course, christmas.
anyway, pics of cards will be here once open evening (BLURGH) and shedloads of marking are out the way.

KKA no probs ! I've made them before like that where I have made severla smaller parcels too, in a pile - good for birthdays & Xmas !

thanks whizz, i was thinking they looked like a fairly quick idea for doing for christmas cards - i have over 100 to do, so want something stylish but simple.

You can even 'wrap' real wrapping paper round cardboard squares to make parcels. I have also used fabric to cover too
