Hi All,

We are starting a knitting and crochet group at work and have arranged for a teacher to come in and give us a 4-week block of lessons.

I have decided to start with crochet but need to know what I want to make in advance so I can take in the necessary hooks and wool.

I haven't got a scooby though as to what would be easy/good to do?

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much

Granny squares are easy for beginners. Or you could maybe try something a bit more adventurous like attic 24slittle birdie

My first crochet lesson was mostly about how to hold the yarn and hook and a run down of the basic stitches, DC, TC, Ch, SS etc.

The bird should be achievable in 4 week IMO.

Oh they are so very cute! Do you think a total beginner could make those?

She is very talented, that shawl is amazing!

The bird should be easy enough as it's basically just one stitch plus learning how to increase.
