making a bolero from the Happy Hooker crochet book

just wondered if anyone has made this or any sort of bolero. it is American so slightly different terminology and not sure about yarn weight etc.

I plan to use Amy Butler belle which is cotton dk. the pattern used karabella yarns zodiac. will try out gauge? - assume they mean tension first.

I'm not familiar with the yarn but having looked it up it seems to be worsted weight which is aran weight in the UK, you might need to find another pattern if you want to use your dk. There's plenty of patterns on ravelry Smile

thanks. I really liked the pattern. it looks like cotton. I wouldn't even know where to buy suitable wool from?

if you want to make the pattern you have then you will need an aran weight yarn otherwise it will work out too small in dk. You could try a gauge square when you get your aran as there may be a small variation Smile
