Modelling help needed . . .

Posting for my dh as he makes lots of kits (aeroplanes, helicopters etc.) but can not get hold of the correct size people to put inside of them (can't believe I am posting this). He has got hold of one and wants to cast more of his own and had been advised to get hold of a type of resin (RVT?) which can be poured around the figure from which he could cast more. We have searched everywhere but can not track this down and it seems to only be sold in the US in large bags. Does this even sound remotely familiar - has anyone come across this before?

Hello ellenrose,
I used to work in prop and modelmaking, and used 'Titanti's' for materials (www.tiranti.co.uk), although I have never heard of RTV resin, but they should be able to help you. Most resins need a catalyst or hardener to make them go off and a release of some kind to remove the object you are casting, again ask for their advice on this.
HTH.
