Knitting help

I've teaching myself how to knit but I'm now stuck.
I've been using videos on you tube but still stuck stupid emotion
I have managed to cast on but now struggling with the stitches.
I have got the cross with my needles, and made a loop with the wool, but I can't work out how I then 'cross' it over.
Anyone able to help maybe word or describe it for me? TIA

Have a look at these very clear pictures with good descriptions.

www.knittingtipsbyjudy.com/knit%20stitch.html

This site is very good for all techniques.

I found New Stitch A Day very helpful and very clear. They have a YouTube channel aswell as a website.

OP, I've recommended this site often on MN:

verypink.com/category/techniques/basics/

It has really good, very clear and easy to follow instructions (and is a mine of info for even experienced knitters).

Good luck!
