I've been surfing lots of crafty websites, blogs and YouTube clips over Christmas and something that really appeals to me is Mail Art.
You make, collage, paint, scribble, doodle or otherwise embellish or alter an envelope in any crafty way you like and send it to a stranger .. And in return you receive something personal, artistic and beautiful (you hope!). And the more you send the more you receive. It's like a non-creepy chain mail .. In fact not like chain mail at all. It's mail art and I think it sounds cool.
I have absolutely no clue about how to find a stranger to send my mail art to, but there are no finer strangers than Mumsnet strangers so ...
