Would love to knit my own baby mobile for over cot - gender neutral at this stage

has anyone come across any free patterns to knit your own baby mobile? looking for something nice and cute but gender neutral. ideally using dk wool please or recommend a good pattern to buy. dont want anything super complicated nor something that looks like it could pass for a childs handiwork. please and thanks

I actually don't know how to knit it's saved until I get around to find crochet version!

had seen the sheep one but thought there might be something that looks a bit neater/more sophisticated if that makes sense? thanks for the link though

What about finding a pattern for some small knitted toys, teddies etc that you like and then making them into a mobile using the assembly instructions for the sheep one.

If you can knit in the round there's some lovely creatures in Rebecca Danger's '50 Yards of Fun" that could be used for a mobile (there's also a monster mobile in her 'Knit a Monster Nursery' book).
