Does anyone do this? I thought it might appeal to DS1 who likes to doodle and has just started GCSE Art. I find it fascinating and may have ordered a book for myself as well as stuff for DS1

I love the name! but have never heard of it - do you have a link so I can be nosey for my education :)

I haven't but if you google it loads come up :) I think I stumbled across it on a blog a while back and then looked on Amazon. It's basically doodling to destress yourself!

There are, apparently, no rights or wrongs! I kind of used to do this on my school rough books many many moons a couple of years ago.

Wow, they're a bit more detailed than anything I did in my margins!

Oh, I agree - I think it's put the fanciest ones first!! :o

If you look at the books on Amazon, they start far simpler than that - literally just doodly shapes. Apparently the point of them is to just let your brain drift off almost whilst your hand doodles whatever. I can imagine that it's quite good at turning your brain off when it is racing IYSWIM.

I saw a lady doing this at a craft show. You could buy a pack for I can't remember how much so being a stingy cow canny Scot I bought the book online and cut my own 3 inch squares. It's quite absorbing. I spent a couple of rainy days earlier in the year listening to a book and doodling. Most of them turn out a bit rubbish but I've done one or two that I was happy with. Smile

Mine will be rubbish but I like the idea of just doodling and letting my mind wander for half an hour or so. :)
