making bead /crystal earrings, what size of beads/crystals do you use?

Looking at bead websites they all sell beads/crystals at 4mm,6mm,8mm or 10mm.

Anyone know what size of bead/crystal you would use if making drop earrings?

I'm thinking probably 4mm or 6 mm as 8 or 10 would probably be to big for what I have in mind. I'm looking at glass beads or the swarovski crystals.

anyone know? Does anyone make earrings?

Yes I do - I find the 4mm ones are small but look good if you use several in a design. I find the best way to visualise what you are getting it try & measure on a bit of paper. It really depends on what sort of design you do.
