JM

she knows nowt. she doesn't even do the a&C threads, so who is she anyway????

( if she comes on here, tho think she doesn't like me)

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 23/06/2006 22:06

(bloody sam just nicked my ric rac braid I was using. Damn.. Its all gluey now, he was making shoes from paper with it.)

UCM · 23/06/2006 22:09

What is the last bit, I can't even imagine3

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 22:09

16&17

Almost done.

take each of your tags and thread with either some fibre or ribbon.

On the inside of the front cover you should have your tag fixed with the hole closest to the spine.
In the hole below this thread through your fibre and fix your tag using DS tape to the spine... so it is facing in the opposite direction to the tag which is adhered to the cover.

All your bottom tags should be threaded through and stuck down following the same direction.

The top tags are threaded and stuck in the opposite direction to the bottom tags.....but they will correspond with the tag that is adhered to the inside of the front cover.

Does that make sense???

OP posts:
pootlepod · 23/06/2006 22:16

Do we stick all the tags down? Or just the 2 that will stick to the covers?

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 22:16

well its gone quiet....you are either all busy threading, fallen asleep or buggered off!!!!

OP posts:
JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 22:18

pootle you stick the tags to the spine of the book.
You are creating mini tag books so they will be adhered to the spine and open when you open and close the book.
The two tags which are on the covers are fully stuck down.

Cool, threading done (and cat let out) and its looking ace even if I do say so myself :D

SoupDragon · 23/06/2006 22:20

I'm still wondering how to cut out my tags

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 22:22

this is what your book should now be looking like

I just did rectangles on my guillotine and rounded the corners with a punch. Kind of fits in with my retro papers, luckily

Dingle · 23/06/2006 22:24

Cooool! I just had to look!

auntyquated · 23/06/2006 22:24

i will take some pics of mine tomorow

did everyone else finish ?

auntyquated · 23/06/2006 22:24

bingo????????????????/

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 23/06/2006 22:25

pretty much done yes

pootlepod · 23/06/2006 22:26

Done the threading and sticking.

Do we tie all the fibres? How?

auntyquated · 23/06/2006 22:28

no - just leave em dangling out to decorate front...they won't come oit as your tags are stuck down inside

Whizzz · 23/06/2006 22:28

Well bloody hell....it worked

Was much cursing as holes were too small for fibre!

kiwibella · 23/06/2006 22:29

hello had a lovely night out with dh - reminiscing our time travelling in Thailand at a lovely Thai restaurant we have often run past. Mmmmm mmmm... far too many gin cocktails in me to understand what is going on - but will have a go on Monday.

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 22:30

Pootle you can now either tie each fibre individually or if you have enough length then you can tie them all together.

the last images are of a completed and decorated baby book I made for my sisters new baby

Hope you all enjoyed making the book....they are fab for all occassions and can be adapted in so many ways....you know the basics to start building from....enjoy and be creative.

Thanks.

I just need some inspiration now on what to put in it.
