Ok so who's ready????

OP posts:
JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:35

next stage...nearly finished

Take two of the tags you have cut and ink the edges if you want to.

Loop a piece of ribbon or fibre through the holes and then thread one through the top hole on the inside of the front cover and the other through the bottom hole of the back cover.

Stick these to the covers with the DS tape.

I have used my costco paper stash.

SoupDragon · 23/06/2006 21:36

Wouldn't it have been easier to make the holes before sticking the concertina onto the card?

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 23/06/2006 21:37

that post was incomplete JM

'Take two of the tags you have cut and ink the edges if you want to.'....... I thin k you left the words get covered in ink off the end!

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:38

OK, thick question here. Do we use 1 piece of fibre for the same tags, i.e. is it threaded so that we see it on the book spine?

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 23/06/2006 21:40

er what?????/

Dingle · 23/06/2006 21:40

lurk....lurk.....

SoupDragon · 23/06/2006 21:40

It's the ones near the covered card that are proving tricky... it's because I have talons, not fingers

auntyquated · 23/06/2006 21:41

LOL at peachy

just been up to say goodnight to Ds who informs me "I wouldn't sell anyone in this family..even for infinity pounds" bless him

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:42

Pootle NO.

Its seperate pieces of fibre and you need to leave then quite long when you have threaded them through the spine....about 3 inches if you can.....no worries if you havent got enough fibres though just leave the length long enough so yuo can tie it.

next stage

The tags you have cut. You need to pair them and adhere along the top edge to one another.
The top tag then need to be scored about 2 cm from the top....so you are forming a flappy tag as in the piccies.

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:48

Is everyone Ok so far????
We have nearly finished and the next stage is what makes this book a little different to the norm.

OP posts:
pootlepod · 23/06/2006 21:48

Dingle · 23/06/2006 21:49

sitting on edge of my seat now,,,,do I look or shall I wait until I am making it???

hhmmmmmm.....

Whizzz · 23/06/2006 21:52

so all the other tags are stuck together in pairs ?

auntyquated · 23/06/2006 21:52

only stick them together near the\ hole so they can open like a mini book

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:53

Whizz dont stick them completly together....just along the top as in the piccies

OP posts:
Whizzz · 23/06/2006 21:56

ok - done !

Rhi · 23/06/2006 21:56

Do I need to ink both the sides of each tag thats getting put in a pair or just the outside?

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:58

Its up to you Rhi...I have just inked the outside one....the one that I scored....finishing touches can be done later though.

OP posts:
auntyquated · 23/06/2006 21:59

JayzMummy · 23/06/2006 21:59
