Can you make a knitting pattern?

DS2 wants a Leeds United jumper with the badge on. My Mum said she would make him one but we haven't found any patterns.

So I wondered if there was anyway to make a pattern?

Thanks

There's a program called KnitPro that converts images to knitting charts. It's free, make sure you select knitting not cross stitch chart.

Your mum could then just put it in the middle of any plain jumper.

If you do it by hand using graph paper you have to allow for the fact that a stitch isn't square. There used to be special knitting design graph paper, but as machine knitting isn't as popular as it was in the 80s, it probably doesn't exist any more.
