Easy projects needed!

I have a shiny new (basic) sewing machine and yesterday I successfully made a cushion cover!

I would like to practise using it and also make some pretty things but am freaked out by the huge amount of complicated patterns I keep finding online.

Can anyone recommend some really easy projects for me to get started? Maybe children's clothes?

Thanks Smile

What age/sex children clothes?

Well, DD is almost 2 but loads of friends are having babies so newborn and either gender is great too.

These are great-thank you! The bibs look very doable.

You know poppers? (Technical name?!) How do you attach them to fabric? Thought they might be easier than buttons as my machine can't do button holes and I have no idea how to do them by hand.

You need something like a Kam press, but Velcro will do. Just sew it on securely by hand.

Ok, thanks!
