Pattern help please

I'm just casting on for this www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/pattern.php?id=4245&lang=us and I can't remember how to read the pattern. It says pattern is on the r side so on the ws do in just do a purl row?

if it is the first 2 rows are knit with increases on the 2nd row. On your 3rd row you have to knit 2 sts then start on the M2 pattern diagram at the bottom for the next 12 sts (14 in total) then start the M1 pattern as directed.

'Diagrams show the pattern from RS' just means that this is how it will look from the front so you have to bear that in mind when you're working a ws row which will be whichever row in the pattern you are on.

yes it's that one, tba k you I've got it now! I'm sure I've only ever done cable patterns that were purl every we row before but it has been a while!
