Knitting pattern decode please

Am trying to make booties from daily mail but very tricky! Any advice on how to do this bit? With right sides together and taking one st from each needle each time, cast off remaining sts together?????

Put the two sides together, so the right sides (outsides) are touching.

Put the stitches from both sides alternately on to a third needle, then cast off by knitting two stitches (one from each side) and bring the first one over the second one, so there is only one left.
Then knit the next one and bring the previous one over, and keep going like that until the end.
